Yoga For Gardeners Free Workshop - Saturday 4/15 at 10:00 AM

Join us this Saturday morning as NELA local gardener and educator Jeffrey Hutchinson leads us through an informative and healing yoga workshop. This workshop will be focused on how to balance your body and mind in order to better commune with your garden and land.  Aches and pains can be overwhelming when working in a garden- or perhaps even keeping focused on a single task.  This simple workshop will help you increase your awareness, while also working towards balancing strength and flexibility in the main muscle groups we use during gardening activities. This class will be a simple introduction with some basic stretching and body awareness exercises.  No prior experience with yoga is necessary, and you don't need a mat- just a willingness to learn! Also discussed- the yoga practice contained in the gardening act itself.  We'll see you here for this very special workshop!

Foods to Encourage Detoxification- Free Workshop Saturday 4/15 at 11:00 AM

Following our yogic workshop, we'll welcome acupuncturist Wendy Yu of the local NELA The Lotus Center of Integrative Medicine (which focuses on acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutrition in it's practice) to teach us about easy to grow plants and vegetables that will encourage the detoxification of our system. Food and medicine are truly one and the same, and some of your garden favorites will be discussed in this workshop. Rethink your garden and diet in this informative workshop and leave inspired to refresh your body!
