JAN 17: Spring Seed Starting with Conor
$5 per ticket
If you want to get a jump start on your tomato season then the time to plant seeds is in January! Come join Conor here at Fig Earth Supply Saturday, January 17th rom 11am - 12pm for a comprehensive conversation on starting from seed for the spring season. We’ll cover everything from preparation and materials, to sowing options, and the final steps before planting outdoors.
JAN 24: DIY CBD Pet Treats Workshop
$30 per ticket
Veterinarians are recommending CBD for our furry friends and big box stores are charging big prices! Join us to learn about CBD and take home a dozen of our CBD treats, along with the necessary CBD ingredients for making more. You’ll also get a tutorial on the CBD treat recipe, and get your questions answered about growing your own Cannabis (where CBD comes from!). Lecture and DIY by Emily Gogol, head gardener at Grow it From Home.
JAN 31: Native Seed Starting with Nina Raj
$15 per ticket
Get your hands dirty with a workshop all about native seed sowing with Altadena Seed Library. Learn about the unique pretreatment requirements of various native seeds through this dynamic workshop. Participants will learn about light requirements, depth of planting, soil types, container specifications, heat needs, moisture conditions, stratification, and scarification. Demonstrations will include leeching, hot water scarification, sand paper, smoke scarification, and more!
